A Reason To Quit Smoking: Your Childrens Health?

To quit smoking you firstly MUST want to quit for yourself to stand the best chance of quitting for good. However, other reasons such as your child’s health will play a big part. After all if they see you smoking then aren’t you sending out the message that it is okay for them to smoke.

Also how can you tell them that it is bad for their health and could end up killing them if you are doing yourself. When looking round at friends and family I see an all to familiar pattern appearing if the parent smokes then inevitably the child will too.

Research that has been done shows that nearly 40% of under-fives are believed to be exposed to tobacco smoke at home, and smoke may be responsible for up to 6,000 deaths per year in young children. A horrifying fact I think you would agree.

Quitting smoking is not easy and for many of us we cannot do it with just willpower alone. Whether it is by using patches, lozenges or gum to name just a few of the products available today.
