Just think rich food, late nights, and too much alcohol. Can you feel your skin breaking out in acne already? Over the Christmas period our bodies are going to be working over time and the side effect of all this fun is our skin is bound to suffer. New year a New Year resolution to get our skin back into tip top condition.
A few tips to get your skin clear of acne and glowing again.
1. Common sense tells us that if we are eating lots of fatty food then our acne is likely to appear or get worse. By eating plenty of fresh foods and vegetables our skin will look at lot healthier.
2. We hear it time after time drink more water most of us groan at this thought. Yet drinking 8 glasses of cold water will help your body get rid of the waste and toxins. By drinking water you will also help to keep your skin moist and therefore at a lower risk of clogging.
3. By avoiding stimulants such as coffee and cigarettes you will be better able to control your acne. These stimulants can stimulate the sebaceous glands into producing more oil, which can mean making your acne even worse.
4. Stress is a big factor in how our skin looks and behaves. By reducing stress and getting enough sleep our skin will look a lot better.
5. For many people alcohol is a way to relax, yet too much alcohol can aggravate your acne. Alcohol can shrink your skins pores which in turn means they are prone to clogging. Also alcohol can inhibit sleep which will cause more stress and fatigue all leading to your acne getting worse.
6. If possible change your wash cloths and towels after every use, especially if your acne is bad. As once a towel has been used then bacteria will grow meaning you reapply the bacteria back onto your skin.
7. Don’t be afraid to try different products out. Investing in a good skin care system such as Acnezine, Clearpores or Healthypores will help to clear up your acne along with preventing future outbreaks. If you have conditions such as Rosacea then there are also products which are able to treat it.
8. Make sure you moisturise your skin properly. If you use a skin care system like the ones named above you will already have your moisturising routine sorted. Just be aware that a moisturiser that is good for you skin in the summer may not prove to work as well in the winter.
Taking the time to look after your skin. Whether you start this in the New Year or any other time of year is something that will reap rewards. Clear and healthy looking skin free from acne and other blemishes will make you feel on top of the world.
