The bad news is that obesity is increasing at an alarming rate. The good news is that it is possible to turn your life around, lose the fat and lose weight.
Losing fat is not difficult, it just requires you making a few changes and sticking to these changes and not going back to ‘old ways’. Choosing a weight loss program that is not radical or extreme is also important. Find a fat loss plan that suits you and not your friend. Remember we are all individuals and therefore choosing one that you are happy and comfortable with is the key to success. Also wanting to lose the weight is a must.
In a lot of cases when you first embark on a weight loss plan you will find over the first weeks your weight loss to be quite high, the down side of this is that over time it will ease off and it will level out to 2-3lbs a week. Prepare yourself for this and see the bigger picture not just what you have lost that week, look back to the total you have lost.
There are some pretty radical diets and weight loss programs available to follow. One I found gets you to follow 3 simple rules which will see you losing fat in no time. See what you think, for me personally this is completely unrealistic for me and one I could not stick to, even if the results are great.
First you are not to eat anything that is white. For example bread, pasta, cereals, white potatoes, white rice, cheese to name a few of the foods that are named.
Secondly all you are allowed to drink is water, and if you really cannot give up coffee you can only drink one small cup of organic black coffee. Each day you need to drink a minimum ½ your bodyweight in ounce of water a day, meaning if you weight 250lbs you need to be drinking 125 ounces of water a day.
Finally you are not allowed to eat anything with the word wheat in the ingredients list.
If you apply these rules to your normal eating plan for 2 weeks you are going to see results. But at what cost I have to ask as this seems drastic and what happens after you go back to a normal diet. Surely a better plan to follow is one that is long term. Which has to mean that you are changing your lifestyle for the long-term resulting in losing weight, stripping that fat away and once you have reached you target weight maintaining your new weight and look.
