Keeping The Weight Off
Whether you are a size eight or a size eighteen, there is no difference. Once you start dieting, you will be watching what you eat and drink. Wondering whether you have lost any weight or whether you have put any weight on.From past experience though, not all peoples prejudices are just aimed at people who are overweight. Being once of a smaller frame, I often received comments if I put on a few pounds or if I lost a few. Sometimes feeling as if there was no escape.
The whole world has become obsessed with dieting, you only have to look at any magazine to see this. We need to change our way of thinking. We need to start looking at ourselves and not each other. After all if we are happy with what we see then what does it matter what anyone else thinks? Like wise if you are not happy about the way you look, then do something about it. Not as simple as it sounds, as what people think and say do matter to you. Remarks from friends, families or even a stranger can really hurt.
Long term dieting can have an impact on your relationships. Being overweight you may be conscious that you are not pretty or sexy enough. If you are thin, you may be thinking all the time whether you have put on weight. Either way off you go back into that shell of it will be alright, or telling yourself that you will sort it tomorrow. I find putting on weight is the same as your credit card balance. You can build up the balance on your credit card all too quick. Yet getting the balance down is a much slower process. One of the best ways I have found to keep your weight stable rather than a yo-yo diet, and it is not that easy. Is to climb off the dieting wheel and find a food plan that you are happy with and able to stick with. There is no need to make a song and dance about it, although you can if you want. Be clever, if you fancy a treat then plan ahead. Work into your plan cutting down on your alcohol intake, it will make a difference.
If you want to keep in shape you will. If you are making excuses then you won’t. So take a good long look at yourself, be honest. And if you need help and support go and find it, there are so many groups available now.
